Preparing for your VE exam
Licensed Amateurs
Two forms of ID, one a Photo ID, the other can be your license.
A photo copy of your current license and the original license.
A copy of your Registration number (FRN), if not on your current license.

Check either By Call sign or By Name, for your FRN number.
Testing fee: ARRL VE testing fee is $15.00, VE exam’s testing cost may vary. Cash Preferred
Taking the Test for the First Time
Two forms of ID, a Photo ID, the other can be with your name and current address.
A photo copy of your Social Security Number, If you have a FRN issued to you for another radio service, then we will need that FRN number.
Testing fee: ARRL VE testing fee is $15.00, VE exam’s testing cost may vary. Cash Preferred
Applicants need to bring pencils and pen’s and may use a simple calculator (one that cannot store data I. e. formulas or equations).
